Peace Quest, a non profit organization, seeks to bring people together
regardless of race, creed, color economic status or gender. We strive to
foster understanding that all people are important, all people have problems
and the only way to the beauty fo the human spirit is through communication.
For the past 11 years, Peace Quest has been presenting an annual community
day in efforts of further bridging communication. The 12th Annual Peace Day
like in past years, will work to educate all people young and old, black,
white and brown, rich and poor on how to live together in peace. Last year
over 2000 people were in attendance, including children who were bussed in
from different elementary, junior and senior high schools and group homes.
This year there will be celebrities, food, games, scholarships awarded, a
poetry jam, basketball game and a fashion show. The entire day is FREE!!!
All entries for the Peace Day 2007 Art & Essay Contest will be put on
display at Peace Day on October 6, 2007. Winners will receive cash prizes,
boom boxes, CD players, TV's, gift certificates and much more.
